Blowing Bubbles



This tag I did because I was dying to make the tube blow bubbles. I had seen a tut somewhere, though for the life of me I can't remember where. Never did find it. If you know of a tut like that, let me know, will you? I'd love to experiment more with blowing bubbles.

I was disappointed, after starting this tut, to discover that the animation was simply to make the bubble appear to glimmer, not to move. Rats. So I set out to find some kind of animation to help me here. I did stumble across a tut that showed you how to make a girl blow bubbles (though not specifically my tube). Cool! I played with it some, and while I'm not completely thrilled with the results, I am reasonably happy with them. I wish I had made more frames to the animation to make it go smoother. Maybe added more bubbles. But it's okay. I loved making this animation from scratch though. Very satisfying. But I wish I had more tutorial help with animations. They kind of intimidate me sometimes.

I created the paper on this, and I'm really thrilled that I could do it. I just used a brush with little flowers, and used the grid to help me with placement. I liked it! I definitely want to explore more with paper making.

My friends weren't so crazy about this tag, but I really like it. I'm not sure why. I love watching the bubbles. And I'm rather proud of figuring out how to make it work.

Preset Shape from a Dingbat Tutorial

I enjoyed learning this. I was to find a dingbat font, and use one of the dingbats to create a preset shape. The dingbat challenge is to help us figure out how to make scrapbook kits, papers, elements, etc. I’m not sure yet how I’ll use it, but it’s good to know anyway. At least now I know there are preset shapes in there, and how to find them. You can find dingbat fonts (free!) that will provide you with most any shape you can imagine. So my first step was to go seeking dingbats. I found lots of them. One that I wanted to try had several different bunnies on it. (I like bunnies a lot, and I collect bunnies.) Uber Newbie

I'm trying out a new hobby. I'm playing around with photo editing software, to learn how to create siggys. I have been dying to learn this, and now I've joined some tutorial groups in hopes of figuring this stuff out. My first tutorial was to learn how to make a very basic siggy. It was fun to play with. Now, I was just playing with the stuff built into the program - nothing fancy. But it was fun! And I came up with something that I didn't think was hideous. The software is already getting a little less scary. Maybe I'll be able to get this figured out one of these days. But for now, baby steps. I used PSPX3, but you can make this tag in other versions. This tutorial assumes a basic working knowledge of PSP. • A scrap kit.
