Color Challenge, Orange & Brown



On this one, we were instructed to create a siggy using orange and brown. I first looked through my tubes to see if I had any artwork that would suit the color choice. The one that seemed to match the scheme the best was a cowgirl. So that dictated the type of papers and elements I would use. I found a free kit that I thought worked well, and had the right color scheme.

And for the record, I'm not a cowgirl by any stretch of the imagination. I've been on a horse once in my life, and that was a laughable experience. I'm a suburban brat, all the way! But what the heck, it was kinda fun to be a cyber cowgirl for a change, LOL!

Preset Shape from a Dingbat Tutorial

I enjoyed learning this. I was to find a dingbat font, and use one of the dingbats to create a preset shape. The dingbat challenge is to help us figure out how to make scrapbook kits, papers, elements, etc. I’m not sure yet how I’ll use it, but it’s good to know anyway. At least now I know there are preset shapes in there, and how to find them. You can find dingbat fonts (free!) that will provide you with most any shape you can imagine. Uber Newbie

I'm trying out a new hobby. I'm playing around with photo editing software, to learn how to create siggys. I have been dying to learn this, and now I've joined some tutorial groups in hopes of figuring this stuff out. My first tutorial was to learn how to make a very basic siggy. It was fun to play with. Now, I was just playing with the stuff built into the program - nothing fancy. But it was fun! And I came up with something that I didn't think was hideous. The software is already getting a little less scary. Maybe I'll be able to get this figured out one of these days. But for now, baby steps. I used PSPX3, but you can make this tag in other versions. This tutorial assumes a basic working knowledge of PSP. • A scrap kit.
